A Vision on the Day of Storm Ciara

Like myself many of you will have woken this morning to the sound of high winds as Storm Ciara came in full force. A vision came to me with a spiritual interpretation as to what this storm represents and it's meaning for the U.K. The vision is as follows:

From the apple orchards in Britain the storm sweeps through to claim the fruit of the land. The once well manicured and pruned trees have been neglected and have grown tall, making it difficult for the apple pickers to reach the fruit at the top of the trees. The storm rages through the orchards but the farmers are at ease thinking that the wind will shake the fruit and it will fall to the ground to provide a good windfall harvest. The outcome is somewhat different, yes the fruit is blown off from the uppermost branches of the trees but does not fall to the ground, mysteriously the fruit is all taken away airborne, in flight to a place of safety and refuge.

The scene then changes from the orchard to a built up area, my eyes are focused on a secure compound with high reinforced walls clad with steel. There's a narrow gateway with heavy iron gates that open up, then I watched the arrival, a steady stream of green and red fruit, apples, pears and various berries, all the indigenous fruit of our land; all came flying through the narrow gateway to settle and rest within the safety of the compound. The stream of fruit continued to enter, for as long as the wind of storm Ciara blew so the fruit just kept coming and coming, thousands if not millions of individual pieces of fruit. Then I noticed something interesting, the colour of the fruit began to include other colours such as orange and yellow, these were the citrus and tropical fruits joining from somewhere else, obviously not from the apple orchards from where my vision started but nonetheless they came.

Accompanying this vision the Lord gave me a scripture from Colossians 1:1-10 The words Fruit and fruitful are found twice in this epistle of St. Paul's, in verse 6 "bringing forth fruit" and in verse 10 "That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work"

As well as the vision and scripture an interpretation came immediately with an instruction for the church not to ignore it's part in being ready.

INTERPRETATION

The poorly attended orchards are the churches that function only on religious rituals, agenda and tradition, they are the churches that fail to actively seek the working power of the Holy Spirit, the farmers are the church leaders from these churches. The fruit on the tree tops are the unchurched, lost souls that God himself gathers to take to a safe place. The safe place is not heaven directly but to a compound, the safe place where the true church gather. As the wind of the Holy Spirit tears the fruit away from uppermost branches, each individual fruit is given an indwelling spirit, and is named "The spirit of inquiry" giving the desire to seek out the truth of God. All the many thousands of fruit have been numbered and ear-marked by the Lord, they are His and they will come. Just a small number will be aware of God's touch initially but the vast majority will come over these next few years during the greatest awakening that the UK has ever seen! Remember, for these are those who are ear-marked by the Lord, they may walk among us and act in their normal manner of appearing to be ungodly but they unknowingly have been implanted with that spirit of inquiry and at an appointed time they will feel compelled to seek out God's truth. They will come in droves over the next few years ahead, church be ready to receive this generation of souls eager to learn the word of God.

As for an interpretation of the yellow and orange fruit, I believe this represents those from other nations who will join as the result of a direct mission outreach from the UK. The church needs to be ready and prepare for this massive incoming of the hungry masses who have been stirred by the spirit of God.

AN ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION

I do have one hugely important consideration here, and that is this received word should not make the Christian believer feel that their service is no longer required. We are co-workers with Christ and must not slacken in our zeal to share His love that we have so graciously be given. Just because our Lord has given this precious insight of a multitude of souls in our generation to come willingly to the Father they have never known, that this does not mean we have nothing to do! The harvesting of souls is still very much our responsibility, this is not the time for us to stand in the wings applauding God for His intervention thinking that He can do this very easily without us. We should be encouraged by this word that the Lord has ear-marked so many to come into His kingdom and we must be reminded at all times that it is part of His plan to use us for this purpose, otherwise why would He have ever given to His church the command of the Great Commission. I must admit I do feel inadequate at times, I feel like being on the edge of this vast end-time field that is ripe for harvest, I am standing with a hand scythe whilst I see the Lord roll up with this word today in a huge combine harvester! Brothers and sisters in your thousands, let's sharpen up our scythes, we are that combine harvester!

Luke 10:2

And He said to them, "The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest".
