Last night, I had a prophetic dream revealing what I believe to be a warning concerning an alliance of three world powers. I saw this happening soon after the election of the new pontiff following the Conclave ceremony that will take place in the Vatican City this week.
I saw in my vision a new Pope rising up to be a lawmaker, one who has experience in law or whom is open to affiliate with lawyers to achieve power gains for the Vatican. I saw a coming together of three world powers, one Papal and two State powers. These were the Vatican, the Trump presidency, and thirdly the Israeli government under Benjamin Netanyahu. If this alliance were to come about, then there would be huge political implications, not only for the Middle East but for the whole world. I suspect that an agenda would be to close down the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, which as a bible believing Christian I would say is prophesied to happen anyway, but there remains a warning. This warning is not from myself but from the Lord our God who sees this as for the advancement of man's purpose without the guidance of God. This power grab, should it come about, would have catastrophic consequences without God's approval. I have felt severe heaviness in receiving this word today, sensing the need for prayer, to call up intercessors to be watchmen on the walls against the powers and principalities that want to corrupt His church.
Upon receiving this word I asked of the Lord for a confirmation, and before I even started to pray I heard a voice say "Read Romans 9: 30-32" This, I believe pertains to the New Pope to be and his position concerning the Law.
Romans 9: 30-32 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone.
My understanding of this scripture is that we should all be watchful of any church that binds itself to the human laws that govern it. There is a danger of placing too much value on the law of man at the cost of God's written, authoritative law given to us in His Holy Word. High church, be it Catholic, Anglican or Orthodox, must take care not to be as Israel in this scripture where there's an appearance of following the law of righteousness and yet not attaining it, becoming their own stumbling stone.
