Reaching out to minority groups after UK riots

New pages have recently been added to PW33's website including Advocacy and Action and as of today Cultural Traditions. This latest page has been created in response to the riots here in England following the tragic murder of three young girls attending a summer holiday dance club activity in Southport, Merseyside. Far-right extremists took the opportunity to twist this tragic event to act out their racist hatred towards immigrant groups by starting riots in numerous cities and towns. They wrongly assumed that the attacker at Southport was a Muslim and the Mosque at Southport came under attack as a result of that suspicion. There were so many thugs who didn't care a bit as to who was responsible for the killings, they just wanted an excuse to collectively cause public unrest, violence and damage to public property. The recent change of government with Labour in as the majority party has more than likely added fuel to the anger of the far-right protesters. The reason for this is due to Prime Minister Keir Starmer declaring on his first day in office the scrapping of the controversial Rwanda illegal immigration bill.

The killings and rioting started a month ago and around the same time I had a vision and dream regarding the sharing of experiences between people from many different countries and lands in friendly community gatherings. The name Cultural Traditions kept coming to me repeatedly, was this to be a friendship club that I would be a part of, or was I the one to start this project?

During the end of July and the beginning of August 2024 I had a vision and a dream of a number of club meetings and events between people from different cultures and traditions. These were joyous occasions where everyone involved benefited in learning from each other through Music, Dance, Arts and crafts, poetry and storytelling. I think this came to me in part at least following a family celebration at an engagement party where the happy couple came originally from two very different African countries, each having their own distinct customs and traditions. The Groom to be is from Nigeria in West Africa and the Bride to be from Uganda in East Africa. It was a joyous occasion and we enjoyed the exchange of different African culture between the two families.

My own wife is from Uganda and our three children are of mixed race, between my wife and myself we know many people where we live from different ethnic backgrounds. For this reason I can see how we could be involved in starting a friendship club, even if we all met just once a month it could add value to many peoples lives. I would be hopeful that any such venture would ease any tensions that exist with those in the community who, if not racist as such, are nonetheless mistrusting of outsiders who have come to live in their neighborhood.

A friendship club where all respect each others background, faith and religion is what I would imagine. From a Christian point of view, yes of course I would love to share the good news of Jesus to all, but wisdom and discernment is needed here. First and foremost there is need to build up friendships, and then in time speak individually to people on matters of faith. 

The alternative would be to look at starting up a club within our local churches where the diversity of culture is viewed entirely through a Christian perspective. The traditions of music and dance from different countries being celebrated as a vital part of Christian worship. This reminds me of the incredible work of Feba Radio, when I first became a Christian I remember purchasing a FEBA cassette tape that I played constantly of various artists from different countries. I loved the variety of gospel songs and hymns in many languages sung and played on all sorts of different musical instruments. The work of FEBA is to evangelise to nations that oppose the spread of Christianity by broadcasting outside those nations from safe neighboring countries.

Cultural Traditions may have started out as a vision and dream but presently I am not getting much confirmation from the Lord as to how involved I should be. It's not that I am looking for something to do as I have plenty of other projects going on at the moment, all of which I have felt led by the Lord to do but how much more can I take on without spreading myself too thinly? In the vision for Cultural Traditions perhaps I have been looking into something that is for someone else to spearhead and for me to have more of a back seat involvement with?

This month two nations well known for their totalitarian leadership have shown signs of cracking or softening. North Korea is preparing to relax its borders to allow a small controlled flow of tourism from the outside world. Iran earlier this month was predicted by some military experts in the West to launch a full-scale war with Israel. Praying for the Royal Family

The news of King Charles III and Catherine, Princess of Wales both having been diagnosed with cancer is raising concern for our Royals. Our prayers go out for them both to have full recovery. I do feel that this would be an opportunity to share with my readers that we really need to go one step further as we pray for the Royal Family. Perhaps you would like to consider this, that there has been much turmoil within their household and a need for healing where there has been hurt and a lack of forgiveness between some family members. I don't need to get into all the scandal and shame, but one thing that I firmly believe in is that harbouring unforgiveness toward those closest to you can be spiritually, physically and mentally detrimental to your own health. To Charles and Catherine, I pray that you seek God for His forgiveness in any negative feelings you have towards those who are close to you, may you both experience the richness of His glory manifest in your lives to where His Spirit comes upon you in abundance, that your health is fully restored and that you are willing to testify of Jesus' unfailing love.

May the Lord bless you at this time when Christians reflect on the Lord Jesus' ride into Jerusalem, the suffering He endured on the cross, and the glory of His resurrection. May His touch be upon you this Easter and beyond, believe in His love and saving grace that He freely gives to all who believe in Him.

For over one year now I have been building up lists of principal cities and towns in most countries and nations throughout the world. I say most, as no doubt I will have unintentionally missed a few out. By and large this work is now complete or is it? During this last weekend, I came across two countries that I did not recognise by name, searching my lists confirmed that there were no entries for them, should I really update and include them on my list?  

The stories behind these two countries have really baffled and amused me as to how they were formed. Perhaps you would like to check them out for yourself - can these seriously be considered as independent countries?

New Year Greetings - Plus Comments on Gaza and Middle East

Sunday 31/12/23  With wars escalating both in Gaza and Ukraine, this doesn't seem the best way to see out the year, we certainly must and do pray for peace in 2024.

I have been touched over the last few weeks to hear of an increasing amount of good news concerning 100's of conversions to Christianity in two regions. The story about many young Palestinian men who have seen Jesus appearing in their dreams is wonderful news indeed. The other news is of persecuted Iranian women who are fleeing to neighbouring Armenia, it is here where they are greeted by churches, and many are receiving Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Prayer Watch 33 - 1st Anniversary Today

Today marks the first Anniversary of starting Prayer Watch 33, the first of 11 years completed. 10 years to go now, interceding in prayer for all nations and culminating in a global celebration on September 22nd 2033

A Given Word on Redistribution of World Wealth 11/12/22

A few days ago whilst driving to work I listened to a news bulletin on the radio. Two news items ran side by side, the first on the net worth of a world famous footballer and secondly the pay dispute that is likely to result in strike action concerning UK nurses and ambulance crews.

The professional footballers pay package with a Saudi Arabian team is unbelievable. How can anyone be justified to earn so many thousands of pounds every minute of their working day? A salary of £200 million per year is excessive to say the least. In contrast the unions negotiating on behalf of NHS workers are presently in talks with the Government to improve the pay of emergency paramedics, ambulance drivers and nurses upwards of a mere 4.5 percent. How cruel and unfair this is, it is a drop in the ocean compared to what these life saving professionals should be getting.

I felt anger when I heard these two news stories and had to turn to prayer. In an instant I heard the Lords voice as He answered my heart felt plea for justice:

Remember what I have shown you in the past few months, a word on levelling up, with the first shoots from the seed of prayer breaking ground, that's right breaking ground that has been evenly prepared. From now on it's not only the privileged sports celebrities who will have an even playing field set before them but all you other workers who tirelessly work in other fields, that for you too, you will see an increase as the worth of your work is reviewed and rewarded. Furthermore, I AM both the cornerstone and capstone. As a cornerstone I AM the foundation for all who believe, hope and trust in my name, I AM there to support and uphold the downtrodden, despised, impoverished and neglected. Secondly, as The Capstone, nothing will rise above Me says the Lord. I WILL CAP the wealth of the wealthy and I will cap the capital of the capitalists. The hoards that they hide away will be exposed, the doors of the vaults will be flung wide open and the wealth will be redistributed. This is the time for reckoning, I The Lord have judged and I will bring justice about. Look around it is already happening and it will continue to happen with gathering momentum, institutions, banks and other wealthy individuals are all to be held to account. These coming years will be glorious years of seeing the poor who will seek me to rise up and to be poor no more.

My heart felt thanks to all who have followed this blog site for the last 3 and a half years. Even though today marks the end of my blogging here at Prophecy UK 22, it does not mean I am closing off my commentary on prophecy, dreams and visions for the UK and you will be able to find my writings continuing elsewhere. I believe the time is right to expand, with a view that widens, reporting on how we the Church should prepare for Christ's return, keeping a worldwide watch on the spiritual wellness of all nations.
